Google has launched new payment options for its AdWords advertising program in India. The new option allows advertisers to open and maintain their AdWords account by pre-paying via cheque, demand draft and net banking. Google India has announced these new payment options to complement its existing payment option by credit cards.
According to Google India, the new options of payment by cheque, demand draft and net banking would be a boon to Indian advertisers, especially small and medium size enterprises, who tend not to be credit card holders.
“We hope that more Indian advertisers will be able to grow their business through AdWords by recognizing that Indian businesses prefer to conduct transactions not only by credit cards but also by cheque and electronic funds transfer. With this fuller set of options in place more Indian businesses will be able to use AdWords to expand their reach, profitability and exposure online,” Shailesh Rao, managing director, Google India, has said.
